Alice??

Ahh today in my weekly routine I went to the middle school to volunteer. I was compared to Alice in Wonderland which made me quite ecstatic. Not only do I love that movie I recently found an editorial for Vogue based on Alice in Wonderland, I'll post it some other day. I don't exactly see how they came to this conclusion because, I personally, don't see anything story-like about my outfit. What do you think??
What I wore: striped shirt from H&M, Suspenders from Hot Topic, Keffieya from a street vendor in Germany, skirt from Guess, belt from the flea market, and the shorts are Mexx Sport.

Gum

(Renata)
Today I met some guy with "connections" in the gum industry. He was exceedingly happy about this and decided to let us try some of the amazing new five gum whose flavor name escapes me. Now on a fashion related I leave you to happily browse some pictures of my outfit.
What I wore: shirt from forever 21, skirt from American Apperal, White tights and socks from, mary-janes from payless.

Why not love the circus?

After yesterday's mime-themed photoshoot, I really, really wanted to wear those jodhpurs. Except today instead of looking mime-esque, I went circus inspired and became the ring leader of my own circus (without the animal abuse).

Picture from Cirque Du Soleil

What I wore: Ruffled to from Forever21, high-waisted pants from my moms cloaset (I don't know if you can tell I was feeling very whimsical today.)

I know what you're thinking: all this ranting about how great these pants are and she doesn't even manage to put up a good picture.

Dreary days...

So I'm still sick, and I've been trying to go to school (mhmm...) but I keep falling asleep late from how sick I am. Today I was sifting through pictures online and I found this very interesting one. The girl is so young but is smoking! And in the background there is a guy on stilts. But I love the dress and the rugged-ness of this picture. It just makes my mind wonder. I also like the girl's watch. So basic. I'm really lucky I found this picture.
Well since we are a relatively new blog we're trying to get our names out there. It's a pretty hard thing to do but I'm so proud of how far our blog has come. I'd be in here more often but marching band consumes my life. Heres a picture of me during our main performance of the year.

This is our last year using these uniforms because we looked a bit dingy next to our opponents. Its not the most fashionable thing, but I still love them. They're like a second home...
(I'm the one that looks really intense in the middle.)
Well I'm done here. Going to nap or finish up my vest. Bye now!

Pictures

Well, today we took pictures, or at least Renata and I, dressed up as mimes. My hair's kind of bad (yes i have an unhealthy obsession with my hair) in them because it rained and i got slightly wet, and my outfits a bit more simply than it would usually be, but it's a good representation of me until i can actually post real pictures.
Even though it's totally random, I'm going to talk about the trip i had in Europe over the summer. For 8th grade, i went to a random prep school (North Broward Prep) and it had a lot of other sister schools. Over the summer they had a band/choir trip with kids from the Arizona school, Las vegas school, LA school, the school i went to, the Orlando school, and the Mexican school. On the trip, we went to London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Salzburg, Geneva, Copenhagen and Brussels, and in Copenhagen we were performing in the main city square, so when i finished my friends and I headed off to H&M. When we were going there was a huge group of gypsies along the road with all the stores and as a group of 100 kids and 20 chaperones all wearing these horrible periwinkle nylon jackets, we attracted quite a bit of attention. The gypsies followed us for quite a while and in the end stole my cell phone and camera, 1000 Danish Krones from a teacher, 100 Euros from another student and another chaperones camera. So that's why i dont have a camera and can't post pictures. Oh and a random naked, drunk guy came over during our performance and told us to stop the music, it was quite amusing.
Oh and the H&M line CDG line is out, i want like everything, even though I'm 5 foot 3 inches and none of it would fit me, but it's amazing. Oh and i'm going to Shanghai and Beijing over the summer, does anyone know any good places for shopping?

GRRRR!!

Now I can't go. Geez. I'm so sick I can't even take a few pictures. Well I'll just dress up in mime inspired clothes tomorrow and have Renata take pictures of me there. Ugh. Well I am going to go wither away in my bed. Finish Twilight or finish my blazer. Hem it and stuff. Bye.

Madeline

Today I felt the need to dress up like a french orphan girl. Don't you sometimes feel to dress up as something in particular. So that is one of those outfit cravings I had.

My Inspiration

What I wore: Pretty dress from Loveculture, tights from Forever 21, red bow belongs to my sister, and shorts to make the dress poofy from Mexx.

Maison Martin Margiela

Well i was watching runway shows with Renata yesterday
The margiela show was genius and i totally don't remember last seasons McQueen being that amazing
On a blog related issue, Ava seems to have the same problem i had last week for not posting so forgive us, marching season is soon to be over, but Renata makes up for our absence.
I still don't have a camera, so you can't get to see me yet, but Ava has a lot of pictures of me(most with really bad hair) but thats ok
-Gabriel

Pain.

Ava here.
SOOOOOOORRRRRYYYYYYYY!!!
I'm finally posting. Well, I guess marching season is technically over, but I still can't find enough time to write!!!! I feel AWFUL!!! And that's not just because I have been neglecting the blog, but also because I'm very, very ill. Heat spells and puke and sore throats that wont let you swallow, it's like death. I haven't eaten much because I can barely swallow, and if I do get the food down I end up well.... you know. Also I can't sleep even with the huge amount of unmeasured medications my mother is giving me. I won't accept any more medication because it hurts to swallow and I'm also afraid of over dosing. So I haven't slept in a while either. Some luck. But by Wednesday I will be back in school (Renata Bring your camera?) and hopefully back to normal. The only thing keeping me alive is the Twilight series. This my first time reading it and it is AMAZING! I was very reluctant and hesitant before but now I'm in love! Also I have many pictures on my camera I want to upload (some pictures of Gabriel) but I can't even figure out how to do that. Well I'm done writing I guess. Bye then and wish me luck!

cows

This is Gabriel writing,

Well I was on my way to my clarinet lesson, and there was a large congregation of police cars, so I looked to see what caused this commotion, well there was a cow in the middle of the highway.

I just felt I should say that, oh and Susie Bubble put us on her blog roll, and well she's basically amazing and layers perfectly.

Now for the Rules:
1. Link back the person that tagged you.
Check

This week went by so fast.

Today I decided to tone it down a bit outfit-wise. Because last week I came to my sister's school in my Halloween costume and she seemed extremely embarrassed. Now, I'm not saying I will adjust the way I dress for just anyone, but this is my sister and I was in a good mood this morning( and she says I'm not nice to her.) The turnout isn't bad just a bit generic, if it weren't for this odd belt I might have been lost in a pool of the fashionable but unimaginable. And we would definitely not want that to happen? No, no we wouldn't.

What I wore: black shirt from H&M, Dark wash jeans from DKNY, and colourful belt from Express (used to be in my mothers closet.)

I can never think of names for these.

Today, some of my readers told me I looked depressed in my pictures (friends at school). So I decided I am going to try to smile on my pictures. But I happen to look fake and forced when I do. I mean how do you put on a smile when at that specific moment there isn't anything to smile about? Wow, that made me sound like someone that mopes around all depressed. Well here are some pictures of me smiling :) and another of me all melancholy. Tell me which ones you like better.

Smiles!

What I wore: striped shirt from H&M, crocheted sweater from Takko, belt from Kohls, skirt from American Apparel, and purple tights ? (my mom just gave them to me).

Vintage Wednesday?

Today has been a good day. Not only did Obama win, but I was complimented for my cool pants. I want to say vintage pants except they're from like the 80's maybe 90's, I'm not sure and would not want to mislead anyone. Unless you can consider things from the 90's vintage which I kind of doubt. Remember that guy I mentioned, that told me he didn't like the way I presented myself (hair/clothes) well, that person has found amusement of pointing out the "abnormalities" of my outfits, which in a way makes me feel good because that way I know my outfit is not boring or generically trendy. But to make up for this guy's act was this girl on my bus that told me that everyday I always wore something new, eccentric and always pulled it off. That filled me with so much euphoria I didn't know what to do about it.

What I wore: poofy-sleeved shirt from H&M, white vest from Bershka, red belt from Italy, and my mom's old pants from Guess.

Election Day

(Renata)
Those of you eligible to vote, go do so! Unless you're voting for McCain, then don't bother (just kidding, though I would prefer you vote Obama.) In honor of election day we saw it fit to show a few pictures of our favourite political t-shirts.

And we have also decided to wear red, white and blue today (yes we are that cheesy). Well I added black so it works. Excuse my facial expressions (well I guess it doesn't show much in this picture) they were caused by a conversation about politics with my sister.
What I wore: Two-toned dress from H&M, blue leggings (I don't know if you can tell) from H&M, and red braided belt from a street vendor in Italy.

Monday...Enough said

Today it felt extremely weird to arrive at school, and have it be illuminated by the sun. For some reason daylights savings made me extra tired. When I am tired I tend not to wear colors (black and white are shades), hence my outfit.

What I wore: Black dress from Target, white belt from C&A, sheer white tights fom a dance supplies store, and keffieya from a street vendor in Germany.

Sunday?

Today I found the dress for my 15th birthday party. It is completely irrelevant that the party is in like two months. The dress is perfection and I feel like a princess when I wear it. It is long, navy blue, and flowy. Well apart from my gorgeous dress I happen to like my outfit a lot. It seems kind of retro to me, with a touch of modernity. I hope I can get a better picture because in this one my hair is a mess, and I look tired (the park uses a plethora of my energy.) For now you can look at this one:
What I wore: That white shirt/dress thing I made, black belt from Target, gingham pencil skirt Paul Et Duffier (found in my mom's closet), and my H&M leggings.

The End of our First Week.

Hey it's Ava!
So sorry I couldn't post that much this week, but Gabriel and I are in the marching band, and this week was a busy one. But this is technically my last week of marching band, so I will be able to post more. I don't have a picture for you of me today, I'm just here to apologize. But here are some inspirational pictures. I want you to comment what your thoughts are.

Halloween

I love Halloween, I mean what other day can you dress up and go to school without anyone questioning your judgment? It is the funniest thing to look around when people are taking a test (all in costume) and see them all concentrated. I find it hard to take it in at the same time. I took pictures of the most... "elaborate" costumes.
Yes that is a guy

This was the end of mine and Ava's Homecoming Week we won't be posting too many more pictures of tacky people but instead things we actually like. I couldn't take any pictures during the actual trick-or treating proceedings ( which were rather successful) so you won't be able to see mt friends amazing jester costume. Oh, and my costume, I apologize for my tackiness, but I think that because I made my costume it compromises it. Oh, yesterday I went to volunteer in a middle school, and whenever I would go into a classroom it would follow with hushed laughter by little people that thought they're cool. But in my school since people were supposed to dress up no one said anything.

What I wore: White dress I made, Tulle skirt I made, Sparkly belts (I'd never wear unless it was Halloween), wings from Party city, Antennas from Party City, H&M leggings.

sorry(Gabriel)

I'm probably not going to post anything 'till Sunday or Saturday; I've been sick since Wednesday, but when I post I'll put lots of outfit pictures (basically the stuff I've worn this week)

Colour War?

(Renata)
Continuing in Homecoming Week, today was colour war which is when every grade is assigned a colour and they see who has the most people wearing that colour. I want to prove how average high school students are extremely unoriginal . Take a look at these pictures... THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!! Sure they're remotely different but all the people that actually participated in this battle of colour did close to the same thing. They're assigned colour t-shirt shorts/jeans and custom details made by paint.

The Freshman

The Sophomores

The Juniors

And the Seniors

Now to me, Oh lol today some tacky kid whom I don't talk to in my class decided to wear all green for some reason when his colour was blue. Well that isn't the point. He found it necessary to tell me (these are his exact words) "I'm going to be honest with you Renata, I don't like the way you wear your hair or the way you dress..." and more nonsense, but I have to tell you I found this sooo funny because I couldn't take him seriously. I mean what would you do if some child wearing green sweatpants, a St. Patrick's shirt and socks with plastic nike flip-flops were to comment on your appearance??

What I wore: H&M flowy shirt, H&M high-waisted pencil skirt, H&M leggings, and my mothers old belt. (I didn't realize I was wearing head to toe H&M until now.)
