Photoshoot

As you might know, we did a photoshoot a while back where we used a giant egg which we made. We later thought it would be a nice compliment to make a giant bird nest. We made this bird nest but, my mom threw it away so we had to make another one which hindered our ability to get around doing this photshoot.
It was a lot of fun to do this and we sort of brought our entire closets over to Katie's house and dumped it in her room and played around with some outfit.
Everything knit is coming from the etsy store(the collars and shoulder pieces aren't up yet) and so are the white hair clips.
There's quite a lot of them, but they're hopefully aesthetically pleasing enough to keep you interested.
I'm too lazy to write out what we're wearing because everything has too many layers and there's just too much clothes. Assume everything store bought is H&M, target or forever21. Anything else is thrifted or DIYd.
I find it amusing that we did this in a very public area. The passerbys were very confused.

Dramatic posing

Hello children. Lately we've been excessively cohesive without trying to so expect a deluge of outfit posts this week. We've been in the midst of developing a huge project these few months that was officially finalized today, the formal unveiling on the blog will be tomorrow. Is my tension building appreciated?

here's an amalgamation of obnoxious and normal pictures of our outfits.

what we're all wearing:

katie: thrifted vest and shirt, target skirt, target socks that were tights but she's 6 feet tall and those would never actually be the appropiate length, payless shoes(she's wearing heels to be obnoxious) and self made collar

Renata: Target dress, thrifted lace dress underneath, forever 21 belt, payless shoes, bowtie as bow

Me: upside down jacket that has been highly contorted, thrifted vest, socks of mysterious origin, payless shoes, thrifted mesh shirt, thrifted shorts

I'll do some more extensive coverage tomorrow, but we're all itching to post it. The collars(like katie's here, these knit shoulder pads and the pleated one i wore two posts down)will be added tomorrow.

We knit everything and this is basically a product of extreme boredom over winter break and it blossomed into an etsy store!

Title of post

This weather has seriously been an impediment on our outfits. Lately, it has been warming up and the iguanas are no longer in comas on the grass. Here's what we wore on Friday. We have a very exciting project that has been actualized that you shall all know about at some point this week...

New Year = New Beginnings

Happy holidays everyone!
Well I think I should begin with an explanation of our three month hiatus...
(lists make me feel productive and proffesional)
a) Paula's camera had some sort of meltdown and a new one wasn't accquired until last week but none of us were really here so today was our first opportunity for posting
b) School went insane and decided that it's ok to assign a research paper, double book report(that makes me think of elementary school0, millions of essays, and the french revolution all within the same month
It was pretty unfortunate that this happened because we actually had a large amount of pictures to post that we never got around to. We do however have a rather exciting photoshoot planned which should be up within this month and we have another interesting plan pertaining to the blog which should be cemented sometime in the next two weeks. Renata also got a camera so this allows for more regular outfit posts since we kind of had to wait 'till the weekends to do outfit posts before...

This is what we wore today(first time that it's been below 50 degrees all winter!)
Renata was wearing a hat from urban outfitters, a shirt that her aunt made, an h&m coat, h&m skirt, thrifted white mesh pants and some shoes that randomly showed up in her closet(this happens often)


Why my hair looks this awful is an enigma to me...

cdg a/w 09 anyone?

I was wearing a thrifted blazer that for some reson appears to have major shoulder pads in this picture but it really doesn't have any, two scarves that i knitted that have been intertwined, a poncho that i draped from forever21(it was really scary when i saw them, but they were $6 and some cdg a/w 09 could have come from them)black pants from zara, DIYed arm warmers(if that really sufficed as a DIY) and gloves from hot topic

We know we have been horrible bloggers and not posted in a while but sahfkjahfkjakj grr school has been really busy and well midterms an=re coming up soooo yeah not fun.

How Many Buckets? Of Water.

So we have a theory about or bff margiela we think he is an alien and he lives amongst the icy blue and purple mermaids of Europa (one of Jupiter's moons that is rumoured to contain water.) So remember that season with all of the face masks? Yeah that's because he brought some models from his moon, they are all actually faceless like him, why he is never photographed. This season he decided to take a vacation so he obviously didn't design this collection he even was so kind as to invite Yohji Yamamoto so he didn't design his collection either.

Sorry we haven't posted in a while but school has been killing us. So these pictures were taken in the rain. And after we were cold. I thought you should now. Well here are the pictures =)

Polka Dot Day!

The weather has been so delightfully grey that we decided to display our extreme happiness by wearing polka-dots! I thought it was rather funny that Katie was convinced she didn't have much for the occasion when when it was the opposite. Paula, our lovely photographer, was also dressed very nice.

What I wore: Shirt and blazer from H&M, thrifted vest and skirt umbrella from the supermarket and socks from payless.
I'm not really sure where Katie got everything but I have a feeling something is from target.

Lacey bows

Well the reason I haven't been posting very often is because I'm in Mexico! And my posts will be more ummm... scattered until I get back. While I've been here I found a bucket, yes a bucket, full of scrap cloth so I decided to make some bows! I also bought some lace and I haven't decided what to do with it yet, any ideas?.No outfit posts 'cause I was very limited in what I could bring/wear here =( 

Oh my god shoes

Well I usually never buy shoes because I don't know I'm afraid of them or something. But I  came back with 8 pairs of new shoes. I went shopping with my mom and she convinced me to buy 2 pairs and when I got back to my grandma's house and I showed her my buys she remembered  she had a bunch of shoes that she didn't wear any more. Oh and I also got some leather oxfords =)
