Sorry for the lack of outfit posts, and posts in general. we've been overwhelmed with work, and the fact that we just finished our hardest chapter in math doesn't help either. I've been really inspired as of late. I'm really into Ann Demeulemeester and Rick Owens(yeah, I'm a bad vegetarian, leather, sue me, its Rick Owens) and looking at past Comme Des Garcons collections. Which obviously doesn't help my black, white and grey detox, but hey, its still cold right?
Well I made some crappy collages, all pictures are from style.com
I absolutely adore this, how it begins all light and turns into overdressed old men (a good thing) is simply genius. Is this some type of interpretation of how over time innocence is lost over time and the airiness of life slowly slips away? Or am I just crazy. Another thing that baffles me is how is it she comes up with this, does she decide: Yes, yes I think an old man theme will be appropriate now. Just wow, there are no words for this, Gabriel and I were gawking at this for about three minutes before we could conjure Susie Bubble'sUhh, umm, deep breath, sigh."
It is amazing what can be done with feathers, draping and air.
I love the Edwardian touches found throughout her collection. The sense of balance Ann created was also breath taking.
In other news, since when hot topic specialize in knock off Chanel tights?
Ava also started her own blog style aberration (don't worry she isn't leaving intreegue) check it out!

I love the whole idea of the world of fashion as a high school, everything you said made me laugh it is so true. And the collections to die for.
Wow, I wish this school existed and I attended it. In my school, I have to wear a uniform that consists of a plain polo shirt that is tucked into(in a bad way) a pair of Nigel Thornberry-esque trousers, a black belt and student ID that can make even Little Miss Sunshine look like a terrorist.
Sweet Jesus, I want Rei Kawakubo as a French teacher! Anything would be an improvement from my French teacher, Mme Mapes, who looks like the result of an orgy between Yoda, Steve Urkel and Po from The Teletubbies that's favourite outfit is a mumu and pair of crocs. How some kind of child can come from a creature that's from a galaxy far far away, little dude that likes wearing his pants so tight and high up that it practically gives him a vesectomine and an awkward red fuzzy thing that lives in Prozacland where the sun is the face of the Gerber baby, I have no clue. I think she just came out of a crater or some crazy shiz like that. I have no effing clue.

Thanks for the comment!
There have been a lot of interesting collections this year.
I can't wait to see Ava's new blog!!!!
Thanks for the comment on my blog :)
You're observations about who everyone in in fashion would be in high school are so true. Chances are they were those people (Esp. Gareth Pugh. I can totally see him making origami out of napkins.)
great pics, and the part about fashion and high school was hilarous!
I really, really like this thought experiment. I want to go to that school :)
Haha, I love the idea with the school! :)
Fun analogy, but I'm rather glad fashion is NOT high school. :)
Hahaha very funny analogy...most of which I agree, but probably not the Stella McCartney. I wish people would dress that well in high school.

thanks guy =)
and i agree about stella, but every school needs one, and i'm a vegetarian so i can relate to the whole activist thing, but you know someone needed the part. And people dressing that well in high school would be fun. lol at the french teacher, that was so funny!
